Follow the links below to learn more about Prelube Systems for your specific use case.
An Engine Prelubrication system on larger engines protects all critical bearing journals before each engine start. Some engine manufacturers list a prelube system as mandatory equipment for certain engines and recommend them for others but any large engine will benefit from the protection that can only be achieved by ensuring oil is whetting critical bearing surfaces before the engine begins to move. Prelube is especially important after engine service that includes an oil or filter change. A single dry bearing start will lead to progressive bearing failure that will lead to overhaul. Prelube is a low cost insurance policy for your critical engines.
If you need to inject a metered dose of fluid into a stream or process, a speed controlled metering pump is a great solution. With its integrated speed control, we designed the TG-300 specifically for precise pulseless control of flow up to 400mL/m.
The XD-4 also makes a great metering pump for injecting larger volumes of flow into processes or batches. By adding a variable voltage power supply the speed of the XD-4 can be varied from 4 to .5 GPM
Both pumps can be set up for both open and closed loop modes to control flow rate based on a number of process metrics such as stream flow, pressure, temperature, or any other properties that can be measured in real-time.
VARNA Products' XD line of industrial circulating pumps are a unique design called a whisper vane pump. They are positive displacement pumps rather than a centrifugal. This makes them great primers and ensures that fluid can never vapor lock and stop moving through the circuit. The Whisper Vane design is also much more efficient than a gear pump for high flow applications like coolant circulation and yet is it very quiet. The XD pumps will lift at least one meter and prime quickly even after being completely drained dry. All running surfaces are nitride hardened steel for long service free life even with very low lubricity fluids. The pump and motor are directly coupled in a tight integrated package. This not only keeps the unit small making packaging it easier, but it also eliminates the down time and maintenance headache of a traditional soft flex coupling. These things are built for a long hard life with zero maintenance.
We originally designed XD-4 to circulate thin mineral oil at very high temperature in a cooling circuit for a military armored vehicle application. The challenge of meeting these tough requirements forced us to solve a number of engineering problems, yielding a very hardy and robust pump that makes a great industrial circulating pump. The XD stands for extreme duty. If you have a challenging circulation application, give us a call and put the XD line of industrial circulating pumps to work.
Fluid transfer is the most basic pump application but having the right pump makes all the diferance.
Circulating pumps move oil through a circuit.
Varna makes pressure regulating and one-way flow check valves to complement our pumps. We offer these valves as standalone parts or as part of a complete turnkey kit that can include a pump, hoses and fitting as well as customized valves. Our Pressurematic technology can hold extremely tight pressure control over a wide range of flow and our low loss check valves maximize system efficiency especially with high viscosity fluids such as cold oil.
Simple is a funny idea when applied to pump design. Many people comment on how simple Varna pumps are. A simple design that also performs at a high level is anything but simple to achieve.
Customer Feedback "I am in love with these pumps. The best feature is that I can dead head the pump and there is no screaming PRV."
